The city's private cancer hospital on Sunday launched a health card that would enable people from the state's transgender community to access cancer care at their facilities.
Syed Ahmad Ansari, Executive Director, HCG Abdur Razzaque Ansari Cancer Hospital, said the move was aimed at creating awareness among the transgender community of Jharkhand and enabling them to access cancer care.
Prateek Jain, Chief Commercial Officer, Healthcare Global Enterprises Private Limited (East and Andhra Pradesh), said that more than 25,000 people from the transgender community in Jharkhand will be issued cards offering them subsidized packages in various forms of cancer screening and care.
